How to be an efficient forager/shopper

The question we address here is how do animals go about finding food from place to place. Or if you are shopping for food at various places, how woudld the distance to the store and how much you can carry will affect your choices.

Age: 4th to 6h grade.
Time: 2 hours
Materials (Basic):
food patch (paper bag with a mixture of jellybeans and pinto beans)
bowls for collected food items
pencil
student packet
